RANDRIDE E30 Communication Fault Troubleshooting Steps (Applicable to DM711 / YX20M-2 / YX80M-2 Dual-Drive Models)
Share
1. Fault Code Explanation
E30 is a communication fault code specific to the DM711 / YX20M-2 / YX80M-2 dual-drive models, indicating that an issue has occurred in one of the following components:
Controller / Motor / Power Assist Unit / Headlight / Taillight / Throttle / etc.
For a detailed video walkthrough, please watch our troubleshooting guide on YouTube: @RANDRIDEOFFICIALSTORE
Before you begin, remove the controller from the bike and take a clear photo of the controller label – you will need it for reference in the steps below.

2. Initial Isolation Test
Next, keep only the following connections as shown in the picture:
Controller + Display + Battery Wiring

Disconnect all other components.
Power on the system and check whether the E30 fault code appears on the display.
⚠️ IF E30 STILL APPEARS
→ The issue is confirmed to be with the controller.
🛑 STOP HERE. DO NOT PERFORM ANY REMAINING STEPS.
If the unit is under warranty, please contact the seller (not the manufacturer) for a controller replacement.
3. If E30 Disappears and is Replaced by E24
Proceed as follows:
Connect the rear motor (use the controller port with more wires for the rear motor connection), then restart the display and check whether the E24 code disappears.

| Result | Conclusion |
|---|---|
| E24 does NOT disappear | ❌ Fault is with the motor |
| E24 disappears | ✅ Proceed to connect the front motor next |
4. Connect Front Motor & Throttle
After connecting the front motor, connect the throttle and check whether an E30/E22 fault appears.
If NO E30/E22 appears → Test the functionality of both the front and rear motors.
If both motors function properly → The issue lies elsewhere (continue to Step 5).
5. Reconnect Remaining Components One by One
For each connection:
Power on and check for error codes.
When connecting the headlight and taillight, turn them on to verify they illuminate properly.
Connect the power assist unit and check for error codes as well.
🔴 If the E30 fault reappears when a particular component/line is connected
→ That component or its corresponding wiring is faulty.
